Timing: Fill the tank at Ash Springs or Alamo before you turn onto NV-375. There is no fuel between there and Tonopah, a hundred and fifty miles on, and no phone signal for most of it. Book the Little A'Le'Inn ahead — there are barely a dozen rooms and no alternative for an hour in any direction.
