Vancouver, BC
Vancouver, BC, BC, CAThe loop's longest step outside the country — a glass city wedged between the mountains and the Pacific, with a thousand-acre forest at the end of downtown, a rainforest canopy on the North Shore, and arguably the best food in North America.
Timing: You need a passport, and the Peace Arch crossing at Blaine backs up badly on summer weekend afternoons — cross mid-morning or mid-week if you can.
Where to stay
