The museum is in the old Clatsop County Jail, which is the jail the Fratellis break out of in the first two minutes of The Goonies — you can film your own escape in the cells. Astoria has done well out of the movies: Kindergarten Cop, Free Willy and Short Circuit were all shot here. The Goonies house is up on 38th Street and is privately owned, so admire it from the road.
